Chrysanthemum 🌼

Cool, fragrant, and a classic ally for tired eyes — meet the chrysanthemum buds at the heart of The Night Owl.

Chrysanthemum 🌼

Chrysanthemum is a versatile herb called Ju Hua, widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. Chrysanthemum is considered to be a fragrant, cool, and light herb. It is used for cooling heat in the liver channel, especially when it manifests as dry, red or painful eyes. It has tremendously diverse morphologies including flower shapes, sizes, colours and plant architecture. Of all Chinese chrysanthemum tea, Huangshan Chrysanthemum, Hangzhou Chrysanthemum, Chuzhou Chrysanthemum and Bozhou Chrysanthemum are the ones that are most popular.

Hangzhou chrysanthemum is produced in Tongxiang nearby Hangzhou. There are 2 different types — white chrysanthemum and yellow chrysanthemum. Due to their refreshing taste, they make for a great tea ingredient. One of the common TCM formulas in which chrysanthemum flowers are used is to combine chrysanthemum with goji berries for improving vision and liver function.

Chrysanthemum Buds are produced entirely from young buds of Hangzhou chrysanthemum flowers. They contain the highest nutrient values and are the highest grade among Hangzhou Chrysanthemum flowers.

Qi-cha's The Night Owl 🦉 blend uses chrysanthemum buds, goji berries and osmanthus, giving it a refreshing, natural-mild sweetness and appealing aroma — making it the best wellness buddy for you to work through the night. 🍵💻
